A LIFE THAT CHANGED LIVES
Joshua's Story
On May 8th, 2025, Joshua Haines, the son of Terry & Mary Haines, was killed in a motorcycle accident in Overland Park, Kansas.
Joshua was an extraordinary young man with a deep and genuine love for people, especially those the world often overlooks. He was a photographer and a wood artisan, but most significantly, he was a compassionate friend to the homeless.
It was not unusual for Joshua to give away everything he had to a homeless person, even the shirt off his back. Time and again, he gave away his meals, hat, gloves, money, backpack, and even his coat to someone in need on the streets of downtown Kansas City. He would spend hours sitting with the homeless, listening, talking, and caring.
No one else will.”
